About Maratha Mandal Pharmacy College Nippani (Rural)
- Founding & Vision: Started in 1931, aiming to build a strong educational foundation in North Karnataka, especially for underserved areas.
- Growth : Expanded significantly, especially after 1977 under leadership of Late. Shri. Nathajirao G. Halgekar, adding numerous professional colleges alongside existing primary and secondary schools.
- Legacy: The trust celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1986, graced by then-President Gyani Zail Singh, and its Platinum Jubilee in 2007, attended by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
- Leadership: The trust is currently chaired by Dr. Rajshree Nagaraju (Halgekar).
- Head Office: Located in Mal Maruti Extension, Belagavi, near the SP Office and opposite the Police Parade Ground.
- Institutions: Manages over 38 institutions, including colleges for Engineering, Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Arts, Science, Commerce, and Polytechnics.
- Focus: Provides education from kindergarten to degree and post-graduate levels, emphasizing professional and quality education.
- Management: Governed by a dedicated board with a president, vice-president, and other members, known for integrity and dedication.
Maratha Mandal’s College of Pharmacy, Nippani (MMPC) is situated in the serene rural surroundings of Nipani, Belagavi, offering a calm and focused environment for professional learning. Established in 2017, the college was founded to meet the growing need for well-trained pharmacy professionals with strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise. MMPC offers comprehensive D.Pharm, B.Pharm, and M.Pharm programmes that emphasise academic excellence, practical exposure, and industry relevance.
The college is committed to creating a value-based, safe, and student-centric campus, making it a preferred choice for both students and parents seeking quality pharmacy education. MMPC fosters an atmosphere of excellence in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences through effective teaching methodologies, continuous learning, and research-driven practices.
